this is a big collection of links. i group em as best i can by their primary area of interest. they still overlap a good deal, the way this stuff does.

music + audio

  • Adroit Jazz Underground, my absolute favorite radio station for jazz across the board. every genre, every decade from about 50s onward.
  • Cladrite Radio, my favorite online station for pre-war pop. you'll get jazz tunes here, but also plenty of tin pan alley, more ballroom tempo tracks, novelty records... if it's 20s-40s, it'll be here.
  • The Al Bowlly Fansite Mp3 Player. more of his songs than i've found on youtube, or anywhere else!
  • Radio Echoes, a HUUUUGE archive of old time radio programs. primarily radio plays, but you will also find musical performances under the variety show section, and scattered around.

  • Marxists Internet Archive. if you enjoy learning through self-guided rabbitholes, try the encyclopedia!

  • The ML Reading Hub's Study Materials. while geared towards ML theory on the whole, this list is also a fantastic jumping-off point if you'd like a more structured "where to start" on the foundations of marxism. remember: NONE of this is out of your reach. you can do this!

  • (NSFW) The CripFag series, by Robert Andy Coombs. incredibly beautiful, incredibly hot series about the heights of intimacy opened up only through disabled interdependency. makes you pity everyone else, dont it!

  • (NSFW) Lavender Zines Queer Archive, a wonderful and labor-intensive archival project of primarily late-midcentury to late-20thc queer magazines. raunchy, candid, at times challenging to contemporary sensibilities. none of it will shock you if you trawl through old mags already.
